Eight killed in N.Y. crash, including 4 Children

A minivan crashed into two cars in a suburban New York City, killing eight people, including four children and a woman from the same family.

Joseph Becerra, State police Investigator said the minivan was heading in the wrong direction in the northbound lane of a road near Briarcliff when it bumped into sports utility van.

After hitting SUV, the minivan smacked another vehicle on the road before catching fire.

The female driver of the minivan and four of the five children in the minivan were killed. The four children killed in the accident were under ten years of age.

The fifth child, a 5-year old boy is receiving treatment in the hospital.

The horrific crash also took the lives of another three people traveling in the SUV.
