The Luton-based carrier, EasyJet said that it is continuing to perform relatively well in tough trading conditions.
As per EasyJet, the company witnessed roughly 3 percent increase in passengers, taking the revenue up 10.9 percent per seat to £51.41.
EasyJet’s chief executive, Andy Harrison said, "This has been a resilient third quarter and our position has continued to strengthen as we made market share gains across Europe.”
Rival’s decision to hack capacity helped EasyJet in getting additional passengers.
Company’s proceeds from services like on-board food, speedy boarding etc increased to £10.00 per seat, up 34 percent.
It may be noted here that another budget airline, Ryanair has also recently resorted to charge passengers additional £1 for on-board toilets.
EasyJet, which has already 75 percent of summer seats booked, said fiscal year pretax profit would be between £25m and £50m.
EasyJet has plans to swell its fleet to 207 from 177 at present over the coming three years.
EasyJet shares soared to 288.25p, up about 4 percent.
