Talking to People magazine, professional baseball player Alex Rodriguez, 33, who is currently in the midst of divorcing estranged wife Cynthia, says there is no romance going on between Madonna, 50, also divorced from ex-husband Guy Ritchie, and him. They may have been spotted together at the same locations for months, but A-Rod insists, they just happen to be good friends.

The media went to town about the two travelling together to spend Thanksgiving holiday with each other, including meeting up in Mexico, however, Rodriguez also denies these reports. He claims Madonna and he have never travelled together and rumours about a romance between the two are plain ridiculous.

He says only keeping a sense of humour helps him deal with rumours of attending 20 of her 'Sticky & Sweet' tour concerts, when has only attended two. And, while the media may claim they have gone apartment hunting, A-Rod insists it is just their imagination in over drive, over a supposed 'affair of the heart' with the Material Girl.
