Three new cameras - S70, S640, and S570 - added to Nikon’s Coolpix lineup

Going by a Nikon announcement on Tuesday, three new point-and-shoot models - S70, S640, and S570 - added to its Coolpix lineup of cameras will hit the markets in September.

All the three forthcoming cameras are equipped with Nikon's 'Smart Portrait System' for producing highly gratifying photographs! While the S70 and S640 support ISO 6400 at full resolution, the S570 supports ISO 3200 at high resolution.

The most stylish, and the most expensive, of the new set of Coolpix line cameras is the $300-priced S70. To be available in an array of color and texture combinations, the S70 features a 12.1-megapixel sensor; optical zoom lens with 5x wide-angle; and 5-way VR image stabilization. The 3.5-inch OLED touchscreen camera also has HD video capabilities, and can record at 1280-by-720 at 30 frames a second.

The high-speed, $250-priced S60 is a 12.2-megapixel camera, with a 5x wide-angle optical zoom lens; 2.7-inch LCD display; and 4-way VR image stabilization. Capable of recording standard definition video at 640-by-480 at 40 frames a second, the S640 comes in four colors - Calm Black, Pearl White, Velour Red, and Precious Pink.

The $200-priced S570 is a 12-megapixel camera, with 5x wide-angle zoom lens; and 4-way VR image stabilization system. Capable of recording standard resolution movies with sound at 640-by-480 at 30 frames a second, the S570 is available in black, blue, red, and pink.
