Ryanair to invest $140 million in new base in Yorkshire

Ryanair, Irish low-cost airline has unveiled its plans to invest over $140 million at its new base in Leeds Bradford International Airport in Yorkshire.

According to the company, its new project will generate about 1,000 jobs and add 14 new routes.

Ryanair estimates show that nearly 1 million travelers would pass through its new airport.

Flights will be started to tourism hot spots like Faro and Krakow.

Around three million people travel in a year from Yorkshire to Manchester.

O'Leary, Ryanair's boss said, "Ryanair is delighted to announce Leeds Bradford as our 34th base and our 11th UK base airport."

Andrew Carter, a big shot at Leeds city council welcomed Ryanair's decision, saying it showed Ryanair's confidence in the region.
