In what can be termed as a prospective ground-breaking development, Samsung has announced two new dual screen cameras - the DualView TL220 and the DualView TL225. Both the new models have an LCD screen on the front to help snap-shooters put themselves in their photos!
While the TL220 camera is priced at $300, the TL225 model is priced at $350. Both the models will likely hit the markets in September!
Some of common features of both the dual-screen 12.2-megapixel cameras include a 1.5-inch LCD in front; a wide-angle 27mm lens with 4.6x zoom; 720p HD-quality video capture at 30 frames a second; and dual image stabilization as well as face detection.
The back screen of the TL220 features a 3-inch LCD, while that of the TL225 has a 3.5-inch LCD. These touch-screen LCDs enable users to explore the potential of an intuitive new Smart Gesture interface, which allows them to delete photos or rotate them by drawing an X or using an O respectively.
The 'child mode' of these dual-LCD cameras displays a cartoon animation on the front LCD screen to capture the attention of camera-unaware babies and toddlers.
Moreover in the 'self-timer' mode, the cameras display a preview of the image on the front LCD, and show a visual countdown to shutter snap - in this mode, the cameras can shoot two consecutive snaps!
