Sony admits VAIOs hit by faulty Nvidia chipsets
Sony, Nvidia

Sony has finally confessed that Nvidia's faulty chipsets have affected a growing list of its VAIO laptops.

The Japanese company is not only going to repair the faulty laptops even in case these are out of warranty but also presenting an additional three-year warranty for the Nvidia graphics processor.

However, Sony has no plans to make refunds on affected laptops.

The AR, C1, C2, LT FZ, and LM series are among the affected VAIO models.

The problems created by the faulty chipsets include duplicate images and distorted videos. Even blank screen have been reported which occurs due to chipsets' absolute failure.

It is important to note here that Sony is not alone with this snag. Apple, HP and Dell are also reporting the same problem.

Last year, admitted the problem in chipsets and took a charge worth 300 million dollars in warranty & product replacement costs.
