Of late, the problem plaguing Apple is the 'exploding' iPhones in Europe - especially due to the supposed overheating of the iPhone 3GS smartphones, in what is described as Apple ' in isolated incidents.' And to, make matters worse for the iPhone maker, media interest in the iPhone and iPod explosion cases just does not appear to wane!
Ever since the June launch of the iPhone 3GS, Apple has had to deal with complaints and news-stories about its fast-exhausting batteries, overly delicate screens, along with the more nerve-wrecking problem of overheating of the device to the brink of discoloration and explosion!
With the excessive media attention these isolated incidents of explosion are getting, Apple is set to evaluate the cause behind the explosion. However, it has refrained from making any official comments about the cases of explosion - apparently initiating with a 'hissing' sound, followed by the shattering of the glass touch-screen - till it receives the exploded iPhones from the customers and assesses the problem!
According a Reuters' August 18 report, a European Commission spokeswoman, Helen Kearns, said at a news briefing: "Apple Inc. is investigating media reports that one or more of the company's iPhones have exploded in Europe. Apple is trying to get more information on the specific details of those incidents, and they will do tests as necessary to investigate the possible cause."
