Peugeot’s ‘hot’ RCZ 2+2 coupe to hit markets next spring!

According to latest announcement from Peugeot, its incredibly ‘hot’ Peugeot RCZ 2+2 coupe will hit the market next spring.

The styling of the new Peugeot RCZ coupe is being touted as ‘spectacular’ – nearly the same as the 308 RCZ Concept show car exhibited at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. What is more noteworthy is that the production Peugeot RCZ has retained the concept’s heavily contoured rear window and the aerodynamics-enhancing ‘double-bubble’ roof!

The new Peugot RCZ 2+2 coupe will be available in options of three engines – there will be two versions of the turbocharged 1.6 litre THP petrol unit, which can produce
156bhp and 200bhp; and one version of the 163bhp two litre HDi turbo diesel.

On all the three versions of the new Peugeot, six-speed transmission will be available; and additionally the 156bhp 1.6THP will also has the option of a six-speed automatic. Of all three versions, the fastest version is, by far, the 200bhp 1.6 THP; and the most fuel-efficient is HDi.

The safety features of the Peugeot RCZ include big brakes; a two-position active rear spoiler; and a high-tech stability and traction control system. Personalization options, like a real carbon fibre roof, bodywork, and alloy wheel finishes, will also be available.

Likely to undercut the £24,625 Audi TT in price, the RCZ is scheduled to make its world debut at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show!
