Walk of Fame Star For Cate Blanchett

The 2, 376th celebrity to be given the honour, Australian actress Cate Blanchett accompanied by Steven Spielberg and David Fincher, the director of her upcoming film 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' - will accompany the actress as she unveils her Walk Of Fame star on 5th December, in front of the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on December 5th.

A superb actress, Blanchett, 39, a native of Melbourne, Australia, won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Katharine Hepburn in the 2004 Howard Hughes biography, 'The Aviator', received supporting actress Oscar nominations for her role in the 2006 drama, 'Notes on a Scandal' and for her portrayalo of singer Boby Dylan in
2007's 'I'm Not There', including receiving Best Actress Academy Award nominations for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth I in 1998's 'Elizabeth' and 2007's 'Elizabeth: The Golden Age'.

To her credit, Blanchett has also played the role of High Elf Queen Galadriel in all of the 'The Lord of the Rings' films, as well as, in 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' and 'Babel'.

Meanwhile, her new film, alongside Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, is scheduled for a Christmas day release in the States.
