Analysts has high hopes about the upcoming Windows 7, which is reportedly going to be released in October as Microsoft claims that it has repaired all the main problems businesses faced with Vista, which was launched by the company about 3 years ago.
Problems with Vista like poor application compatibility and poor device-driver support compelled many businesses to quit Vista and sticking to XP.
Though, analysts believe that Windows 7 should appeal to businesses, yet sluggish economy could the importance of the new operating system.
Rob Helm, who is working as a research director at Directions on Microsoft, thinks that companies should upgrade themselves to Windows 7 as backing an old OS would require the businesses to bear more expenses in the long term.
Rob Helm further said, "It would dearly love to restart business PC sales and get businesses to move up to the most expensive editions of Windows. I think Windows 7 has the potential to help unblock that [spending] holding pattern when the economy recovers."
According to the analysts, August sales slow as PC buyers were waiting for Windows 7 OS and will eventually rise after the launch of windows 7.
Windows 7 will go on sale to consumers and small businesses on Oct. 22, while large businesses with volume licensing deals can get access to windows 7 even earlier.
