Within first two weeks of classes at Washington State University (WSU), more than 2,000 students are showing swine flu symptoms. There have been seven confirmed cases of the H1N1 but it is believed that with the passage of time more swine flu cases will come to limelight.
Health and Wellness officials revealed that 158 students were confirmed with H1N1 symptoms on Thursday. However till now, no one has reported severe symptoms. Most cases are showing mild symptoms curable within three to five days.
WSU Health and Wellness Services said: "We estimate that we have been in contact with about 2,000 students with influenza-like illness in the first ten days of our fall semester."
However there has been no change in the schedule of classes or other activities due to these cases. The students with flu like symptoms are advised to take rest and proper medication. These students have been asked to immediately contact doctor in case their condition deteriorated. Free self-care kits are also being distributed.
