Latest media reports have revealed the official release of pictures and details of the McLaren MP4-12C, which is a brand-new supercar from the successful racing car company, McLaren Automotive.
The latest MP4-12C is inspired by Formula-1 engineering and revolutionary chassis architecture.
Though the inspiration has been taken from the well-known F1, but McLaren specifies that it is the 21st century demands which have finally led to the creation of the MP4-12C.
The supercar is being seen as the first car in the range of high-performance sports cars from McLaren Automotive, which is situated at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, and works as an independent car division.
"It's pitched as a high performance two-seat mid-engine model in the core sports car market segment for cars costing between £125,000 and £175,000. At its heart, the McLaren MP4-12C features a revolutionary one-piece carbon fibre chassis structure, the Carbon MonoCell," said a source.
The modified McLaren 'M838T' 3.8 litre, V8 twin-turbo engine powers the supercar while seven speed Seamless Shift features dual clutch gearbox (SSG). The sedan also features dual variable valve timing and produces around 600bhp and 600Nm of torque.
