Palm has denied rumors that it was going to launch its much anticipated Pre smartphone in UK during the Playbite 2009 juncture next week.

It may be noted here that recently a news report published on the web site PC Advisor stated that Palm’s Pre smartphone would be officially launched in UK next week on Tuesday.

Playbite 2009, a technology and media event which is going to take place on September 15, will provide achance to technology journalists to see and experience upcoming products ahead of their launch.

Motorola’s Android Dext is also said going to be unveiled in the UK on Tuesday.

Officially, Palm has plans to unveil the Pre smartphone on O2 in the UK by the end of the current year.
