For its super-stylish, silvery line of forthcoming high-end laptops - Envy 13 and Envy 15, HP has decided to market the products only with the 'Envy' moniker, thereby dropping the Voodoo branding that marked its first Envy laptop, the HP Voodoo Envy 133!
Both the new, slick and desirable laptops from HP are scheduled to hit the markets on October 18. While the 13-inch version, Envy 13, has been priced at $1,699; the 15- inch Envy 15 model will be available at a price-tag of $1,799.
Among the notable features of the Envy 13 include a 1366-by-768-pixel screen; 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SL9400 CPU; 3GB of RAM, with an extra DIMM slot; 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU; 250GB hard drive; 802.11n; optional Bluetooth; two USB ports; HDMI-out; and a combination headphone/microphone jack.
Meanwhile, HP has not released many details about its Envy 15 model, more so as the Intel Developer's Forum is scheduled for next week. Nonetheless, being touted as the "the company's fastest consumer notebook PC ever" the Envy 15 reportedly features a 15-inch screen; 1,600x900 display resolution; "Future Intel Core i7 Processor'; four RAM slots for up to 16GB of memory; a 1GB discrete ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830; and dual SSD hard drives.
In addition, both the models, featuring big, clickable touchpad and built-in radio, have sleek aluminum and magnesium alloy bodies and a subtle etched pattern on the keyboard tray.
