Chemring Group PLC, a British defence company said its revenue increased 40 per cent to settle at 143 million pounds (equivalent to $236.7 million) in the last four months as compared with the same period of 2008.
Soaring military activities in the Middle East boosted company's revenue.
Missile-defense Company witnessed a rise of around 50 per cent in its revenue which soared to 377 million pounds during the 10-month period ended August.
Chemring Group also said that it had bagged a $75-million contract for supplying mine-detection systems to the United States army. The company also claimed that many more countries were showing interest in its defence products.
At present, Chemring Group's order book possesses contracts worth 574 million pounds, representing a rise of 28 per cent from a year earlier.
Shares in Chemring Group have gained 29 per cent since the beginning of the year to close at 2464p-a-share in the resent trading.
