Oprah Weighs In At 200-Lbs.

It seems Oprah Winfrey has fallen off the healthy living wagon and now weighs 200-lbs, adding 40-lbs to her frame since 2006; at least that is what she claims in the January issue of O magazine, out this week.

She writes that not only is she mad at herself, but also embarrassed for allowing herself to gain weight again after all these years, and all the things she knows. Detailing her recent struggles with an out-of-balance thyroid, Winfrey, 54, tells how the condition made her develop 'a fear of working out.'

To represent a 67-lbs weight loss lost on a liquid protein diet, Winfrey famously wheeled out a fat loaded wagon, wearing a pair of size 10 Calvin Klein jeans, on her talk show in 1988. Since, much to the delight of the tabloid press, Winfrey's weight has yo-yoed, going up and going down, but never stationary. By 1990, she weighed as much as 237-lbs. having regained most of the lost 67-lbs.

Vowing, 'I'll never diet again.', she hired personal trainer Bob Greene in 1993 and finished the Marine Corps Marathon in 1994, saying her roller-coaster weight saga was finally over Writing in her article in 'O' magazine, she says: 'When it comes to maintaining my health I didn't just fall off the wagon. I let the wagon fall on me. I didn't follow my own fundamental rule of taking care of self first.'

Abandoning all hopes of getting thin, Oprah says she only wants to be strong, healthy and fit. However, tipping the scales once again, Oprah told AP Television last week, she has yet to select a gown to wear to President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural ball next month. 'I had a dress on the vision board, but I'm not sure that's gonna fit,' says Winfrey. 'So I have to work on something else.'

I noticed she was starting to gain weight, but I didn’t know how much. Wow, she’s so brave.
