The latest media reports have forwarded the fact that after creating hype in music industry with the introduction of the iPod, Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, is now mulling to use an oft-rumored Apple tablet to reinvent the world of print media.
Speculations afloat suggest that Apple might be working with newspapers and textbook companies, in order to distribute traditional print media electronically to a tablet with the aim of reinvigorating the market. If rumors are to be believed then Apple recently held talks with many different newspapers and other media companies, such as The New York Times, about ways to reinvent their businesses.
The reports also say that a version of Apple's OS X software was presented to Steve Jobs running on a multitouch tablet. A problematic question for the Apple people to answer was, "What would people do with this?"
If this is the case, then Apple will require creating a tablet that is convincing to old readers who still like reading newspaper thoroughly in the morning as well as customers who have no problem getting their news on the Web.
Apple definitely has an opportunity to be a big name in media industry if it is able to lure both the old readers and the new readers via its tablet.
