Ronald Richards, the lawyer for Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26, the woman who was arrested in the shooting death of actor Mark Ruffalo's brother, has confirmed that the police have released her, after she told investigators, Scott Ruffalo shot himself while playing with a gun. Jail records confirm the release.

According to Richards, the Saudi princess, a friend of Scott Ruffalo, on 1st December went to his Beverly Hills home, to pick up the keys to a car she had lent him, when Ruffalo playing with a gun, pointed it to his head and said 'Russian Roulette' and pressed the trigger, accidentally shooting himself.

Talking to the media, Richards told AP, Scott Ruffalo's gunshot head wound was self-inflicted, and Adham was 'essentially a witness to a game of Russian Roulette'. In addition, she made several wrong decisions, starting with not remaining at the scene of the shooting accident and causing an incredible chain reaction of stupidity and bad luck, including poor legal advice from other lawyers, before her surrender.

Who Is Shaha Mishaal Adham?

Adham traces her descent from the Saudi royal family, through her grandfather Sheikh Kamal Adham, half-brother to the widow of King Faisal i. e. Princess Iffat. A privileged early life saw her attending the prestigious all girls Marlborough School in Los Angeles, she transferred to Harvard Westlake, another exclusive private school.

However, things have been going downhill for Adham since 2006, when her parents, Hussa and Mishaal, legally separated. It is in 2006 also that Mishaal, Director of a Saudi Arabian contracting firm, was convicted of driving a vehicle without the owner's consent, an offence for which she was forced to pay a series of fines, including doing
60-hours of community service.

Now estranged from her family, when her brother-in-law Eduardo Burillo was reached on telephone, he claimed not to have 'seen Adham in over two years'. The man who answered the phone at the Beverly Hills residence listed in her parents name said Adham hadn't been in touch for 'five to seven years'.

There are also court documents that show that Adham's landlord tried twice to evict her from her Beverly Hills apartment in 2008.

Mark Ebner, who interviewed Sharifa, Adham's older sister for his book: 'The Six Degrees Of Paris Hilton', says it is quite a departure for a girl whose upbringing befitted a princess. 'One of her classmates told me she would constantly have bodyguards stationed outside her classroom,' says Ebner.

He also disclosed that Adham was part of the same socialite-celebrity crowd as Hilton, '… all in the same circle', noting heir Brandon Davis and Adham's older sister dated each other for 'a number of years' during high school, much before he dated Hilton.

All About Scott Ruffalo

However, the connection between Adham and Scott Ruffalo remains unclear, but his brother actor Mark Ruffalo, remained steadfastly at his brother's bedside since the shooting. Slowly emerging is a picture of Scott Ruffalo, who was a well-known and successful hairdresser, who worked in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills salons, including, most recently, the Giuseppe Franco Salon in Beverly Hills. With a license in cosmetology, he set up his own corporation in 2001 called Ruff Inc., had a lucrative income as a hairstylist and was well-liked by everybody and knew everyone in Beverly Hills.

Yet, he did have one encounter with the law in 2002, when he was convicted for possessing a controlled substance for sale, though a second charge of possession of a narcotic controlled substance, was dismissed.

His accidental shooting death comes as a shock to many who know him. Yelena Shekhtman, his neighbour told ABCNews. com that they lived in a very secure building, and even though she lived close by, she never heard any sounds of gunshots or a scuffle. The only time she knew something was wrong, was when police knocked on her door at 4 a. m.

Though documents say Scott Ruffalo was married to Luzelena Ruffalo and was stepfather to her daughter Lucinda, Shekhtman says Scott Ruffalo lived alone, though periodically she did see him with a woman, whom she assumed to be his girlfriend.

Scott Ruffalo's parents, Frank and Marie Rose when reached at their home in La Jolla, declined to comment.
