Chicago-headquartered Alaron Trading Corporation has acquired Axis Global Management, a Los Angeles-based Introducing Broker with nine employees.

The company has bought Axis from Ralph Savrnoch, a nine year managed futures industry veteran.

The move establishes Alaron's foothold in California, as the company continues to strengthen its presence in retail managed futures.

In addition, the move also marks the beginning of a strategy to build up the firm's retail and managed futures business through further acquisitions.

Alaron is an independent full-service and online brokerage firm, serving individual investors globally in futures and futures options markets with superior research, order execution and managed investment products.

The company has six offices throughout the United States.
