Western Digital has come up with a new stylish and convenient external hard drive- My Passport Elite, to cater the data transfer needs of variety of customers.

This hard drive is a unique blend of style, technology and convenience which would prove quite helpful for transferring large quantity of data prom one place to another.

Dale Pistilli, Vice president of marketing for WD’s branded products group, said, “As portable hard drives grow in capacity, consumers are now able to store their entire digital lives on them.”

My Passport Elite is equipped with an illuminated capacity gauge and drive lock indicator for the customers to check storage space left and security of data given to the use of the 256-bit encryption. The WD SmartWare software automatically assures back up of all data to avoid any accidental loss.

Pistilli added, “Equipped with WD SmartWare software and hardware-based encryption, WD’s new My Passport Elite drives keep consumers’ personal content safe in one place, while the sleek design and premium finishes infuse a sense of personal style.”

The drives are priced at $119.99, $159.99 and $169.99 for 320GB, 500GB and 640GB storage capacities respectively.
