In the just upgraded line up of TouchSmart PCs, HP has announced the TouchSmart 600 - a third-generation 23-inch TouchSmart PC which is further boosted by gesture support from Windows 7 Home Premium, and HP's prominent custom multitouch software!

Retaining the aesthetic and elegant TouchSmart design, the new TouchSmart 600 features ambient lighting for a gentle colored glow, and supports 1920 by 1080 (1080p) resolution, which is ideal for watching high-definition movies and TV.

The new, all-in-one TouchSmart PC is also packed with a built-in Blu-ray slot drive; HDTV tuner; 802.11n wireless; an integrated multicard reader; and a remote control. A test configuration of the PC also comprised 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 processor; 750GB hard drive; 4GB of DDR-1333 memory; and 1GB nVidia GeForce GT230M graphics.

In addition, the Version 3.0 custom software from HP is a notable upgrade for the TouchSmart 600, enabling it to offer touch-friendly versions of Hulu, Netflix, Twitter, and other applications, which have oversized buttons and comprehend gestures like swiping and pinching.

The new TouchSmart 600, along with its other newly-released counterpart - the 21-inch TouchSmart 300 PC, also features a revolving stand; built-in support for wall mounting; and a tilt-able web cam for group conferences and video chats. Both the new models are available at HP. com; and can be had in an array of retail as well as customizable configurations.
