Wireless control with iPhone provided by Sonos home music systems

Recently, Sonos, a company that sells home music products that connect to each other wirelessly on a mesh network, has come out with the Sonos ZonePlayer S5, which will allow the users to control their music system in their houses with an iPhone, iPod Touch, or any Sonos Controller.

The best part is that they would be able to do so wirelessly, without fixing their device into a dock.

Furthermore, the users will not require putting the device in a dock to access music as they could do it right from their pockets. Users can get all this for a price of $399. The ZonePlayer S5 will officially be unveiled in mid-October.

Users, who would avail the ZonePlayer S5, will be able to download the free Sonos Controller app for the iPhone/iPod Touch, which they will be able to use to gain access over their collection of music on their home network, including their iTunes songs. Apart from this, they can also surf on the web, sites like Last.fm and play songs on their Sonos-connected music system.

The S5, equipped with a five-driver speaker system, can fill a full room with all-digital, high-quality music. The users can also gain access on 25,000 Internet radio stations, shows and podcasts, which will be all free of costs and already loaded on Sonos.

With the help of the iPhone/iPod Touch, the users can find songs and stations, choose the music and control the volume in as many rooms as they like. Their music won't stop even if a call comes in, because it won't be playing music which is stored on the iPhone. Users will find the set up pretty easy and they can use the S5 other Sonos products, which are now available at 4,000 retailers in 60 countries.
