Palm Pre is all set to hit the market as O2 offers it at £34.26 per month for two years contract. The smartphone is expected to give stiff completion to Apple's iPhone 3G available in the similar price range.
Customers will also be provided with unlimited web access and WiFi besides 600 free minutes and 500 text massages for increasing its sales potential.
A spokesperson from the company said, "We've sold more Palm Pre alone today that we normally sell total devices on a Friday. And one in two customers is buying a Touchstone charger, with the majority buying two."
However, there are now clues of people making bee lines to purchase the handset like they had made during the launch of iPhone.
Reviewers are analyzing Palm Pre for its looks and working. Only time would decide to what extent it will be able to woo customers.
Palm Pre has also other challenges ahead as the BlackBerry Storm 2, RIM, and the HTC HD2 are among the leading handsets capable to give competition to the smart phone in the highly competitive market.
