Sony Australia's singular 'Bravia TV-PS3' giveaway promotion, which was exceedingly successful last year around the Beijing Olympics time, will be re-launched October 22.

The offer pertains to select models of Sony's new range of Bravia LCD TVs, the purchase of which will also include a PlayStation 3 Slim through redemption!

Elaborating on the giveaway, Sony Australia said in a media release that as many as 25,000 PS3 Slims will be awarded to consumers, via redemption, who buy one of the 14 Bravia models ranging between the $2,199-priced KDL40W5500 40-inch W Series and the $8,499-priced KDL55XBR45 55-inch XBR Series model.

This promotional offer will run in tandem with the 3-year warranty by the company across its Bravia range.

The return of the PS3 incentive with a Bravia LCD TV purchase comes as Sony Australia's an attempt to boost the plunging Bravia TV sales in Australia. Sony's LCD TV market share, which earlier this year stood at 32 percent, tumbled to a mere 14 percent in August; while rival Samsung's share soared to over 42 percent during the same period.

Referring to the offer, Toby Barbour, Sony Australia's deputy general manager of consumer products marketing, said: "Consumers are looking for quality purchases that deliver value for money. Our Bravia LCD TV, PS3 and extended warranty combination is undoubtedly the best offer we have ever had in the market."
