Software giant Microsoft, following the release of its latest software, is now joining hands with testers to fight against viruses. The company has started sending out e-mails to testers who have been accepted to participate in the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) Ongoing Beta Program.
The new beta is touted as having new private beta builds and larger number of participants.
The e-mail calls upon participants who want to join Microsoft in fighting against "viruses, spyware, and other PC health danger". MSE is the software company's latest, real-time consumer anti-malware which is free to install and use. Since its last version was released, Microsoft has been working hard at making it stronger, and with the release of the firm's new software, comes the stronger MSE. Testers are currently required to uninstall the previous version from their PCs, to install the new one.
With the MSE Beta Program, Microsoft aims at building a strong, reliable anti-virus software. "Help improve Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft’s new antimalware solution for consumers, by becoming an Ongoing Beta program tester. As part of the Microsoft Security Essentials Ongoing Beta program, you will have the opportunity to explore new builds before the public sees them, submit bugs, and give feedback. Your feedback helps Microsoft to make its software and services the best that they can" - the e-mail reads.
