Latest Regulation Reassures Six Days Paid Leave to Contagious Workers
George Miller

On Tuesday, the Chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee proposed a regulation to provide six days paid leave to infectious workers sent home by employers.

"Sick workers advised to stay home by their employers shouldn't have to choose between their livelihood, and their co-workers' or customers' health,” said George Miller, a California Representative.

Given that, swine flu is widespread in US with the apprehension of affecting almost 40 million workers. The bureau raises distress on 39 percent of all private-sector workers who have not been paid sick days, as among the bottom 25 percent of wage earners, 63 percent were not paid either.

Glancing through the November report, CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden affirms the failure of not meeting the vaccine demand with the supply of 31.8 million doses throughout.

In conclusion, signifying the emergency law as preventive measure for pandemic H1N1 flu or any other infectious disease, George Miller has considered to hearings the week of November 16.
