With all mobile phone makers jumping in to make the most of the currently very lucrative smartphones market, PC manufacturer Dell does not want to be left behind and has announced plans to release a range of smartphones, which will be equipped with Google's popular Android mobile software, to be marketed as Mini 3 phones.
The Mini 3 smartphone models will be sold by Dell with the Claro network, part of the America Movil network, in Brazil starting this year, and in China through China Movil by late November.
A non-keyboard model announced on Friday, the Mini 3 has ended a two year long speculation that Dell would soon enter the mobile phones market. Dell is currently the third-largest PC firm by units shipped, and rumor has it that there is a good chance that it might make it big in the mobile phones world as well.
Although there has been no information shared as to when the US markets would get their hands on Mini 3, sources have hinted that they will be offered via the AT&T network in the country.
