Rogers to Launch Online On – Demand Services

Rogers Communications, the Canadian cable giant, is all set to launch its ad - supported online on - demand services and is calling it the "Canadianized Hulu". It has been reported that the premium and ad - supported contents of videos will be available only to the 2.3 subscribers of Roger's cable services.

The subscribers are expected to have access to the contents from the 15 channels that are owned by the company and more content providers are anticipated. The online on - demand services would deliver the customers' computers with a good selection of TV programming.

The customers will need a username and password, and it has been reported that they would get access only to the contents that they have subscribed to. It has also been reported that concurrent logins would be allowed by the company. It is a notable fact that such concurrent logins will highly increase the possibility for abusers. However, the company has announced that it would be screening all the accounts to note abuses. Although they said that they would be monitoring abuses, they did not inform what was going to be established for such abusers.
