Telus Corp. had filed a legal challenge against Rogers Communications Inc., and the result of the challenge is the fact that Rogers is no more what it used to be. Until recently, Rogers boasted of being the fastest and the most reliable of wireless networks in Canada. But after the legal challenge, the court has ruled that there was no actual basis for that claim and Rogers has ultimately lost the title of being the fastest and the most reliable of all wireless networks.
This ruling has come right after activation of the HSPA network by Telus which significantly is the same as the network gear that is used by Rogers. The court action was actually prompted after Rogers refused to cease marketing using the title after the HSPA network was activated by Telus. The court will soon intimate the details of when the claim should be removed from advertisements, billboards, the internet and newspapers. The ruling said that Rogers had lost the claim. The legal challenge was initiated by Telus as they also had the same speed as Rogers.
