San Diego Couple Wins $1 Million in "The Amazing Race"

A San Diego couple has bagged a whopping $1 Million on the reality TV show "The Amazing Race" which airs on CBS. The money was won by Meghan Rickey and her boyfriend, Cheyne Whitney, after beating all other contestants on the 15th edition of the Emmy Award-winning show, under which the constants have to go around the world collecting clues and successfully taking care of designated tasks.

In the finale, which was aired on Sunday, the couple beat brothers Dan and Sam McMillen, who came in second, and former Miss America 2004, and her husband, Brian Kleinschmidt, who came in third, to counting $1 Million worth of chips at a casino in Las Vegas.

23 year old students, Meghan and Cheyne have been dating for several years and have known each other since grade school. The couple had dominated the race for several legs, and things had been looking up for them since they landed in the first place after the competition which required them to bungee jump onstage.

The Amazing Race, which is one of the most popular American reality TV shows, starts by sending out 12 two-people teams across the world on a journey picking up clues, completing tasks and racing each other to make it to the first place.
