Use of Tamiflu Questioned By Experts
Tamiflu

The use of the antiviral drug Tamiflu has increased by a huge number ever since it was found to be effective against swine flu. It has been reported that the use of such antiviral drugs like oseltamivir has been on the rise since the pandemic A(H1N1) began in the month of April in 2009.

However, recent reports are coming to the focus that the use of this drug is being questioned by the experts as it has been suggested by certain studies that while this drug was effective for an apparently healthy person who has contacted influenza, it seemed to be ineffective on the other patients.

The global death toll due to this deadly virus has reached 8770 and the WHO has confirmed that there have been reported infections in more than 207 countries. The government has spent millions to hoard these antiviral drugs as soon as it was reported that Tamiflu was effective against swine flu. It has been reported that it seems that most governments across the world have spent millions on a drug that the scientific community is now having qualms about.
