Anonymous, an anti-Scientology group was hoping to protest the 15th December scheduled New York City premiere of Scientologist Tom Cruise's new film 'Valkyrie', but they bungled it by they gathered at the Lincoln Centre, when it was to be actually to be held at the Time Warner Centre. Only a few blocks difference, but it also made a difference to police precinct jurisdictions, which meant a mad scramble to get a police permit for their protest, which they didn't get.
They then picketed Tom Cruise's wife's 'All My Sons' premiere, but background positioning, ruined their photos.
End result, the group followed by a German camera crew that hopes to air footage of the protest in their documentary in early 2009, gathered at the premiere, 'but Tom never came out to talk to us' said one protester. But of course, he didn't, as 'Valkyrie' is scheduled to premiere on Christmas Day.

You're doin' it wrong
A new permit was obtained, as well as police protection, and the protest not more than 100 feet away from the entrance to the TW building.
Also, the two pickets at the All My Sons premiere's were more than a couple of months ago.
Sigh
MSNBC was wrong about a few things. There wasn't a problem with permits-because we didn't need one. We told the police we were going to be there as a courtesy. Also, there was no confusion about where the premiere was being held.
Maybe they got it confused, one of the protestors was late because she got lost.

I don't know why this report is being repeated, because it pretty much a lie. There's videos of this on YouTube right now. The Human/Civil Rights Group known as Anonymous was all over the Time Warner Center. Tom Cruise refused to come out and speak with fans because he was hiding from them.

Too bad. I guess they better get control knowingly and at will over matter, energy, space and time.
