Though Halycon Co., the makers of 'Terminator Salvation' had originally planned to wait till its release, before they decided on whether or not to proceed to the next chapter, positive fan and media reaction to the film, made them decide to move ahead, announcing the fifth and sixth installment of the man vs machine franchise at the Dubai International Film Festival.

The locales for the new 'Terminator' films have not been decided on yet, however, the Middle East has been mentioned as a possible locale.

Already signed on are Christian Bale, who will play the role of John Connor in all three 'Terminator' films, with the fifth 'Terminator' of the film trilogy, tentatively scheduled for a 2011 release.

Others on board the cosmopolitan project include, Alexandra Maria Lara ('Control'), Arab-American stand-up Ahmed Ahmed and rising Bollywood star Sonu Sood ('Singh Is Kinng').

A 'Terminator' video game has been developed in-house and will be released on the same day as the live action film.
