Web TV Service Launched By Comcast

Comcast Corp has decided to launch its Web TV Service, and with the Fancast Xfinity, all the subscribers of Comcast can easily watch their favorite cable shows online. Initially only the subscribers of the high-speed internet service of Comcast will be able to watch the shows, but within a few months alternatives will be made for customers who don't have that internet connection.

This service enables subscribers to make full use of the televisions shows on their computers from all the 27 network providers which also include the pay cable offerings like HBO, Starz and Cinemax. But the subscribers will be able to access any channel online only if they can watch it at home. This amazing service also has about 900 movies ready on pay cable.

To watch the television shows online, the Comcast password and e - mail address of the subscriber must be furnished so as to verify that the customer is someone who pays regularly. Such an effort has been taken up by Comcast due to the increasing threat of subscribers giving up their television sets and moving on to the internet exclusively.
