The bill to overhaul the immigration laws of the nation has entered the Congress once again and with the opening of the legislature, it is being speculated that it would pave a path for legalizing the status of millions of immigrants who are living here illegally.
The bill is expected to be a very hard - fought battle between the Republicans and Democrats and it has been reported that President Obama had readily pledged to consider the issue in the following year and it is announced that steps are being taken in a positive manner by the Congress.
In spite of all these announcements, the bill has also been reportedly denounced as being impractical and that it would come to amnesty for the illegal immigrants. Previous attempts to make something out of the bill were easily revamped with similar objections.
Illegal immigrants can gain entry into the country after demonstrating and confirming that they had been employed and they would also have to learn English. After undergoing a check for criminal background and paying a fine of $500, they can gain legal status. After this bill has been passed there would be a good and steady flow of workers in the country.
