On her US reality show about etiquette, Sharon Osbourne, wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne, has been accused of coming to blows with a contestant – former Playboy model Megan Hauserman.
The show centers on former contestants from another reality series, “Rock of Love,” who after competing for the affections of rock singer Bret Michael, get lessons from Osbourne in etiquette and moderation.
According to celebrity Web site TMZ.com, Hauserman, 29 - who appeared on the VH1 show “Rock of Love: Charm School” - filed a police report accusing Osbourne of pulling her hair on Saturday, at a taping of the program, after the two traded verbal insults. TMZ showed Hauserman leaving the hospital after the assault, holding her left arm in a sling.
The Confirmation that the police had taken the report came from Officer Kate Lopez, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department. Lopez said: “We can’t verify Osbourne’s involvement; detectives will conduct interviews to determine if charges should be filed.”
Hauserman was attacked after saying Osbourne was only famous for managing a “brain-dead rock star”. Osbourne, 56, was possibly enraged either by the professional slight or the criticism of her husband.
Known for her impulsive behaviour, Osbourne has been involved in similar battery incidents earlier too – she had feuds with Iron Maiden and Smashing Pumpkins; and she walked out of the recording of an X Factor show in October 2007 and this year quit the show, after an allegedly stormy relationship with her fellow judges.
