Aggreko, the temporary power provider, is now full of new hopes of a better-than-expected recovery over the coming times after its international division has managed to bag a record breaking performance.
For the final quarter of the current fiscal year, as confirmed by the company, the unit has seen a rapid rise in power on hire. "We will probably just beat our previous record of delivering 300 megawatts (MW) of new capacity in a single quarter", the company said.
The Glasgow-based company has provided temporary power for mega events like the Glastonbury music festival and the Beijing Summer Olympics, and is all set to be the official provider of power for Vancouver's winter Olympics next year.
Aggreko's international division serves Governments, armed forces, various major industries and utilities, among others, with power plants ranging from 10 MW to 100 MW on a single site.
For the complete year, the company is now expecting total revenue of over 1 Billion Pounds, with a much better-than-initially-estimated 27% hike in operating profits to 260 Million Pounds.
