Channels Including FX and Speed at Risk of Getting Dropped as News Corp and TW C

It is being speculated that with the coming of the new year, cable TV subscribers in the Charlotte-area might have to manage without popular channels like Speed, FX, Fuel and Fox Soccer.

News Corp., the media giant, and Time Warner Cable are currently locked in a battle over finances, and the fight could lead to some Fox channels getting dropped all together starting January 1. Both the giant firms are still negotiating and their contract is all set to expire on December 31.

News Corp. has now started warning that Time Warner Cable subscribers face a "very likely possibility" that they will lose access to cable programs relayed by Fox.

The battle could also lead to TW Cable subscribers losing out on other popular Fox channels which are currently owned by News Corp, like Fuel, Fox Reality, SportsSouth and Fox Sports World Español.

Fox News Channel and Fox Business Channel, however, would not be affected.
