After a decade long marriage, 8 children and a year of ruling the tabloids, Jon and Kate Gosselin divorced officially on Friday, and Kate has managed to bag the family home in Eastern Pennsylvania in the "no-fault divorce agreement".

Also, as confirmed by her lawyer Mark Momjian, Kate will continue as the primary caretaker of the couple's 9 year old twins and 5 year old sextuplets.

32 year old Jon and 34 year old Kate, the popular reality TV couple, had reportedly worked out the custody arrangements themselves, but the financial issues were all taken care of by an arbiter.

The couple had filed for divorce in June, and during the same month, they discussed their separation in TLC's reality TV show "Jon & Kate Plus 8", which attracted over 10 million viewers.

"I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the new year, focusing on the children", Kate said, speaking through her lawyer.
