Shane Sparks Arrested and Charged with Child Molestation

The America's Best Dance Crew judge, and the ex-So You Think You Can Dance choreographer, Shane Sparks has been arrested and charged with at least 8 counts of child molestation, after the Los Angeles Police Department placed him into custody at around 8 am on Friday.

It has been reported that the police possessed a felony warrant which charged him with molestation, including a "lewd act upon a child".

The alleged molestation of an underage girl reportedly began in July 1994 and continued for several years after that. The criminal complaint was filed by the L. A. County District Attorney's office, and the 40 year old has been charged with 8 counts of molestation, including "including oral copulation and other acts with the intent of arousing, appealing to, and gratifying the lust, passions, and sexual desires of the defendant, who was at least 10 years older than [the victim]".

Sparks is presently being held on a $590,000 bail, and is the second former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer to have been arrested for sexual misconduct during the year.

The victim was reportedly below the age of 14 when the molestation began.
