As confirmed by Berkshire Hathaway Inc., owned by billionaire Warren Buffet, on Tuesday, Comcast Corp's Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Burke, has been elected to join the company's Board of Directors.

51 year old Mr. Bruke has been described by Mr. Buffet as "business-savvy, owner-oriented and keenly interested in Berkshire, the three ingredients we look for in Directors".

Mr. Bruke is also a part of the Board of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Mr. Bruke, who is reportedly "keenly interested" in Berkshire, will join the Board of a firm which only last month give the nod for a 50-for-1 split of the company's class B common stock, which is directly related to the planned takeover of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp, the railroad operator, in a $26.4 Billion deal.
