Christmas comes along with much cheer, happiness and many presents. But the customers are going for "last minute shopping" this Christmas Eve. Over £1 billion is expected to be spent this Christmas Eve on last minute shopping.

Moreover, an increase in the usage of plastic money can also be seen these days, like this Christmas Eve, 2.1 million people are planning to use their plastic to fund their final Christmas shopping trips.

Stuart McKeggie, head of Sainsbury's Credit Cards said, "Many shoppers intend to use credit cards for their Christmas shopping, which can be a safe and convenient way to shop and can provide great rewards for using them if you choose the right one".

Around 19% of shoppers have kept their money safe for last minute shopping. Around 7% of spending will take place on "the big day ". More people will be coming to supermarkets and department stores for goodies.
