Everyone Now has Access to Swine Flu Vaccine

The group of people now opting to get vaccinated against H1N1 has changed from those looking for the drug immediately and as a high priority to those who are merely concerned. Meanwhile, with more and more shipments arriving, there is no longer any shortage of the vaccine, and authorities are urging people to get vaccinated, as there are chances of a second wave of the flu.

"People should not become complacent about protecting themselves. Get vaccinated, wash your hands and stay home if you're sick", said David Lakey, the Texas Department of State Health Services Commissioner.

According to Abilene health officials, the medicines are available in plenty locally.

According to Larry Johnson, Administrator of the Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District, the area currently has "several thousand" doses of the Sine Flu vaccine, meaning that anyone who wants to gain immunity against the disease and do so very easily.

Mr. Johnson has, however, been quick to assert that because of the newness of the vaccinations, which are free shots or nasal vaccines, the city has made no projections about how many people would actually come forward to take them.
