Jon Gosselin's apartment in New York ransacked

Jon Gosselin after returning to New York after spending Christmas in Pennsylvania with his eight children discovered that his apartment had been vandalized.

Gosselin's lawyer Mark Jay Heller said in a statement Saturday, "Gosselin called me this afternoon. He was disturbed after entering his apartment and seeing that his furniture had been devastated, clothing and personal belongings were apparently slashed with a butcher knife by a very troubled and sick perpetrator. Jon immediately contacted me and facilitated the able assistance of the New York City Police Department who immediately dispatched an experienced detective to Jon’s apartment."

Heller said Gosselin, 32, discovered a note from his wooden dresser. Heller informed that Gosselin's belongings like television, CD player, coffee maker, a Nintendo Wii game and dishes, pots and pans were stolen from the New York apartment.

The damage was estimated at $100,000. A source informed that ‘cheater’ was carved into the bed headboard. Along with it there was a note also on the counter with which a knife was sticking to. It had the signature of what appears to be that of ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman.
