Wireless devices are transmuting the life styles. Now, one can get driving directions and also can look for a coffee shop online, while driving.
Apple's iPhone is one example of such wireless devices.
Wireless companies have now developed a fear that they may not get enough room to expand themselves as the networks are already congested.
Julius Genachowski, Federal Communications Commission Chairman, said that finding out unused frequencies is the part of broadband plan which is due in February.
All the communication services have a fixed set of band length, to avoid interference or fluxing of frequencies and data they are transmitting. Already there is huge population of communication services like TV and Radio broadcasts, Wi-Fi networks, mobile communication which are using airwaves.
FCC is aiming at promoting spaces which have not been used by any one yet. These spaces are in between the TV channel bands, known as "white spaces".
The FCC is trying to work out some optimal solution with which even broadcasters will be have enough space to deliver a high - definition signal. Broadcasters themselves selling their excessive band width either to government or to private companies can be one of the best possible solutions.
The powerful broadcasters lobby is opposing this idea by saying that it would limit the idea of making innovative use of the airwaves, which will be free after complete digitalization of analogue broadcasts in the month of June
