For Tinseltown lady Lindsay Lohan, 2009 was mostly the year of downs, but she is definitely looking forward to the New Year.

While vacationing in St. Barth's, the starlet vowed that 2010 would be a year of change.

"To answer everybody’s question…My new year’s resolution is to stop letting the lucky few that have my heart, try2constantly tear me down", Lindsay tweeted on Saturday morning.

During 2009, the actress had gone through various marring experiences, including the very public break-up with her lady love Samantha Ronson, a burglary by the alleged celebrity burglar group, various private telephone conversations recorded and released by her father Michael Lohan and a disastrous fashion launch with Ungaro.

Lindsay is now all set to put all the setbacks of the past year behind her, and has promised more "mayhem" in 2010; only, it will be the good kind.

"Wishing everyone a blessed new year in 2010! Everyone get ready for more (but positive-LOHAN MAYHEM!)” said her New Year’s Eve tweet.
