If one is to believe an announcement made by the 3D technology company RealRD, it seems that the giant electronics and gadgets manufacturing firm Samsung is all set to join the 3D TV market.
RealRD, a company responsible for providing 3D plastic specs to cinema chains, has shared that its popular 3D technology will now be integrated into Samsung's line-up of 3D TVs, which are yet unannounced.
Electronics giants like Sony, LG and Panasonic are already getting all set to showcase their respective 3D TVs at the Consumer Electronics Show which is scheduled to happen later this week in Las Vegas.
Samsung, however, has disclosed very little details on the subject yet.
As shared by RealRD, Samsung's 3D TVs will support the company's "proprietary stereoscopic format", which is basically an enhanced version of a "side-by-side 3D format" which makes the use of unique filters and other similar technology to "combine left- and right-eye images into a single 3D HD image".
