Heiress Casey Johnson Dead, Cause of Death Unknown

Daughter of the New York Jets owner Woody Johnson and heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, Casey Johnson on Monday died at the age of 30. She was also reportedly the fiancee of model/singer Tila Tequila. The cause of the death is still undetermined.

Ms. Johnson's great-great-grandfather was a co-founder of the Johnson & Johnson, and she has grown up in Manhattan on Fifth Avenue. She, in addition to her socialite friends Paris and Nicky Hilton, were featured in "The It Girls", a 2002 documentary.

"The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time", the Jets said.

Ms. Johnson's death has followed months of her ruling the tabloids, when she made headlines for her tempestuous relationships and public behavior.

Ms. Johnson is survived by her parents, two sisters and a daughter, Ava-Monroe. Ava had been adopted by her from Kazakhstan in 2007.

"Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away", read Tila's first tweet after the news was made public.
