This year too, Asus entered 2010 with a bang. At CES 2010, the company revealed its super-stylish laptop, outcome of the partnership with a legendary audio firm.
The NX90 Bang & Olufsen edition is not like any regular big-screen media center, its 18.4 inch huge screen, completely covers in glass and configured with a 1,920-by-1,080 (1080p) resolution. On the either side of the keyboard, Asus installed two touchpads that supports multi-touch functionality. Simultaneously, one can be used for navigation and other for selecting on-screen options.
The speaker boxes cover the screen from top to bottom like a helmet. The area beneath the keyboard is perfect and gorgeously clad in aluminium metal. Designed by award-winning B&O chief, David Lewis, the NX90 is made from polished aluminium that'll give the
17-inch Apple Macbook Pro a run for its money.
Besides external beauty, the NX90 also has internal brains. Components like an Intel Core i7-820QM quad-core processor, 120GB of user-accessible storage and, as standard, 4GB of DDR3 RAM up to 12GB, and Nvidia's GeForce GT335M graphics card will give surprising performance. Other features include a slot-load Blu-ray drive, which teams up with an HDMI -out port, and USB 3.0 ports.
It weighs 4.8Kg including the 6 cell battery. This innovative machine will be available next month with its prices ranging from $1,799 to $2,499.
